My 1993 300zx 2+2 automatic transmission does not always shift out of 1st or 2nd gear and I suspect the problem is a bad sensor; speed sensor, throttle position sensor, etc. This occurs randomly, most of the time the trans feels great, no slippage etc. If I shut the car off and restart it the problem will temporarily resolve. I would like to utilize my onboard diagnostic system to troubleshoot this. Can anyone give me the procedure to run the onboard self diagnostic test for auto trans in this model? THANKS!

Checking the ecu for trouble codes is the same for 90-96:

Thanks, I was hoping there is a way to get TCU codes.
