1993 240sx: wiring

ok so I bought a shell shell from a guy in florida. It had no dash no ac nothing but the wiring under the hood. The idiot has apparently cut the wiring right before the fuse box and what would be the dash harnes. I have a partial harness from a wrecked car, what I want to do is splice the two together behind the drivers fender. The only problem I am finding is there seem to be muliple wires of the same color. for instance there are three pale green wires, two wires that are black with red tracer. Does anyone know the color code? What I was trying to find out is do all of the same color wires perform the same function. like i know all the black wires are ground and I think red is power. does this work for the other wires as well? I would say about half the wires are uniquie in color so no problem but that leaves 20+ wires that there is some confusion about. Any input other than get a new harness would be great unless someone has a harness i can have.
