Going to install a Pioneer DEH-P5800MP in my car, but i'm not sure where to connect the ground wire. On my old Kenwood i just connected the ground to the wiring harness one.

The ground wire that came with the pioneer is crimped to this circular connector, which makes me think i should ground it to the body this time. I was planning on connecting it to one of those 2 small metal brackets that are bolted way in the back of the radio space. But i was reading installdr.com which said that i don't need the ground wire. Since i'm using the factory radio mount with the pocket, the unit will just ground to the radio mount.

Which ground should i use?

It is true that the chassis grounds to the car, but it would be good to take the wire and connect it to a metal contact point somewhere behind the unit. Keep that metal crimped spade connector on the wire and find a spot behind there and screw it down. Existing screws work just fine. If you still need more info, let us know! Good luck!

Ok i've just about taped up all the wires to the harness, but there are a few wires i haven't found where to connect.

On the provided wires, there is a blue white wire labeled system remote control.

On the wiring harness there is a blue wire labeled power antenna and a blue white wire labeled amp turn on.

I'm thinking that the system remote control one can be wired to the power antenna?
