Not sure if i'm putting this in the right place but....

Theoretically, would I just be able to remove the CAS and put in a SR20DE Distributor?

Lets say the scenerio above doesn't include wiring the ECU. Lets say in this case an ECU doesn't exist. Theoretically it should work right?

I want to convert to Distributor type ignition

Thanks

The ECU fires the injectors based on the cas signal. If you dont have an ECU your engine doesnt get any gas.

I understand this. I'm not running stock ECU. I have a stand alone that will be controlling the Coil/Distributor system.

I just need to find out if I can replace a CAS and put in a distributor...

I'm not sure. Does it? that's a great question.

I've been told that the RWD SR20DE's have it in the front, the FWD have it in the back so I would have to use a RWD one.
