What is the transmission code for the 93 240sx autobox i want to say re4r01a mines going out and looking into either used or finding out how much replacement is. trouble shifting out of first. ps i have read the article on the transmission code puller but i would almost rather get it rebuilt unless my problem could be fixed through that.a second question is my passenger side headlamp only comes on when it feels the need to. both of the high beams work fine. low beam works like i said just when it wants to. friend and i checked all kind of power leads and all were a ok. best thing we could come up with is a malfunctioning multi function switch. is this a good guess. im out of ideas myself. Thanks in advance

Your talking about the 94 rev sensor thread I hope?

If the head light is poping up and just not coming on your guess is likely right on about the headlight switch.

yes i am referring to the 94 thread. i was hoping it would work for a 93 as well. if so were would the thing be located. only wires close to i can tell run off transmission got a group of 3 grey connectors 3 different sizes small medium and larger and a reddish/brown/orange(cant figure out what its supposed to be) is the sensor in that group of connectors? can that trick work for a 93 as well?also while i got anyones attention my o/d light comes on every now and then when i start the car up. like flashes three or four times and quits not really so much anymore but what would that mean if anything.

Yea that trick works on all the kade 240's. It is a 3 pin connector in the group of connectors near the right strut tower.

The OD light flashing is indicating a problem in the system. If you look at the sticky at the top of this thread there is a link in there on how to get the trans in self diagnostics to see what the code is.
