1993 240sx se ka24 stalls in second at high rpms

if i take off in 1st its fine go to 2nd and hit high rpms it stalls and when i rstart and hit the gas it wil stall again idles really rough after restart i have a hks full exhaust and stock motor if you need more info let me know oh an it runs rich due to black residue on the bumper and odor please help me out im new to this nissan 240 scene i owed hondas before and decided to grow up and get real mans car thanks guys guys for the help

It could be so many things, check for engine check light. Get a 240sx repair manual, it's going to help you in the future.From what ur saying it could be a bad EGR, Oxygen Sensor, Dist, Cables, Spark plugs etc etc etc......

leonelrr has good advice. Try and let us know what you have eliminated and go from there. As a general rule when I have this type of problem I start with the basic "Tune-Up" items. Plugs, wires etc. It may or may not help but it won't hurt and most people do not change them often enough.

If nothing else it give you a place to start.

Just hit 106,000 on the KA24DE (2.4L Dual Overhead Cam Engine) Its a 1993 S13 Manual 5spd Cold A/C No problems Only thing that i've done to the engine was take the egr system out Ive always used synthetic oil and changed it on time Since I've owned it, I've only used 93 octane fuel My uncle was the previous owner and only used synthetic oil as well JDM instrament cluster with stock Heads up display on windshield (LS Automotive calibrated and refaced the jdm speedometer to 180mph instead of kmh) r32 skyline rear end VLSD r32 skyline/300zxTT front brakes (4 piston calipers)(Refurbished from factory) Aluminum racing driveshaft Punk racing 13 1/2" front rotor conversion Brembo Rotors all around HKS Hi power 3in Catback Exhaust Ruff Racing 278 18in (Staggered) Wheels w/ Kumho Escata tires in the front and Potenza's in the Back -245 front -255 Run Flats rear 5 lug converion Scroth 4 point Race harness (Driver and Passenger) real carbon fiber interior brand new real itallian leather front and rear seats (Done in Gemany before i brought it over) Kenwood kdc-x969 head unit w/ kenwood to ipod converter 3M Tinted windows (Darkest thats legal)(With Lifetime Warrantee) Lowered suspension Alot of suspension work..email me and Ill tell you what's done plus a few other small things *Also have a GT28RS turbo kit for it with everything except the intercooler piping and oil lines. -Comes with the new style HKS super skq bov (Brand New in Box) -Giant 31x12x3 Intercooler (Brand New in Box) -AEM Uego Controller (Brand New in Box) -Greddy Profec B-spec 2 boost controller (Brand New in Box) -Koyo Aluminum Radiator (Brand New in Box) -Brake Heat shield from turbo (Brand New in Box) -Battery relocation kit (Brand New in Box)
