Hi everyone I have a 240sx hatchback great car very reliable till now.I was driving the other day and it seemed to not accelerating as I am used to. Its also sometimes stalling out. It seems to be really worse when it is a rainy day. I recently gave it a tuneup & filter's change the cap and rotor I got from Nissan. Ran great after tuneup was done.Im fiquiring it might be my mass air flow. I checked into a few prices. Is there a way of testing it with a ohm meter this way I know Im not wasting my money just to still have the problem. Or if anyone might have one laying around I really dont have 200 dollars to waste.Any input on what I can check would be great thanks and keep the 240's rolling....

It sounds here like you fixed your problem with a tuneup, so why did you post?

No I was just mentioning that the car had a recent tuneup so the problem I dont think is with anything like gas filter or cracked cap. It was tuned up about 2 months ago and the problem has just started happening a few days ago.

Here's a procedure out of the FSM:

In this testing procedure it shows the Mass Air Flow has 4 wires Terminal 1 on my 1993 240sx doesnt have any wires on it. It only has 3 Wires starting from terminal 2.

You're probably starting at the wrong end of the connector. The #1 terminal has a white wire and #2 has a black wire.

If its worse when raining it means moisture is shorting something out. Did you replace distributor rotor? Spark plug wires, could be weak coil. I'll tell you what, I have a ka24de maf from a 91 240 and ignition coil, I'll sell you both for 40$ shipped.... [email protected]
