1993 240sx pop-up headlights struggling on the way down

when i first purchased the car they didn't make any noise coming up or going down. then they started to squeek a little, and now on the way down it's choppy. is there anything is there i can grease? i want to try and fix it before they get stuck up

and i did search and all i found was problems with relays. this is not my case, they go up and down when i press the button

i got nothing out of any of those links. is there no one that has the problem i explained? uh once they get stuck up i guess it gives me a reason to get a silvia conversion

the "link" is what facilitates movement of headlamp. look in the fsm. EL section.
