1993 240sx only blowing air in front wents

My problem is that no matter what setting I put for the air to blow it only comes out the front main vent. Won't blow to feet or up top to the windsheild and I can hear a ticking sound coming from inside the dash when I put for the option to blow up or down has anyone had this problem?

ya could just be a fuse or wire connection. just take it all apart and look and follow every wire to each vent opening.

Its not the vents it the actual thing that redirects the air ima have to do it this weekend pull the dash and all that

its called a "mode door motor" easy to break on the account it has plastic gears. driverside of center console, lil box thats about the size of a pack of KOOLS. has a metal rod going to it. stick your head down there, turn the fan off, and hit the buttons until you hear it clicking. there is a chance it can be fixed. i took apart mine, cleaned it out, re soldered the conections and its workin great

no prob. just try an fix it. it drove me nuts lookin for a new one. work for nissan, STILL cant get one, WTF?post back lemme know how it went

lol ill try tomorrow ah that sucks i work for honda but the same people own the nissan dealership to so that sucks if my own is done for and i cant find it yea its been like that for a while i especially hate it when it gets foggy

So iwent down there during my lunch brake saw all the rods for now I just pushed it so it can blow the air up I have a manual vent control for now hopefully this weekend I could do more
