okay, I just got a nissan 240sx, i yet have to hear it run. I bought it with a blown head gasket. So I changed the gasket and put every timing mark dead on, and got the distributor lined up. I connected every electrical conector and got it ready to run. Buut I just can't get it to star. I really need help, is there something I'm missing? What else stops my car from starting?

It definetly turns over, it sounds like it wants to start. the dizzy turns counterclockwise and the fiering order is 1342, so I'm pretty sure I got the wires right, and I don't have a cat. I've switched both the dizzy and the Maf, with spare ones I had and still nothing. :ohno:
Iven been picking at my head for what could be causing this no start. And I'm just out of ideas. Ill keep double checking everything.
Thanks for ur help driftmulisha, ill keep posting on my progress.
Any other ideas would be of great help.

Well I set the diizzy like the instructions said, the notch aligned with the dimple. I have tried to set the dizzy diferent ways but no luck.
Haha, I tried push starting the car and it started for like two seconds, and then it died.

Well LOTS of things can keep it from starting. Check out my thread to see what all I tried just to end up finding a bad ground: ka-suddenly-won-t-start-speedometer-jum ... l#p5700822

Do you have spark and fuel. Those are the easiest things to verify. Is your fuel pump relay functioning properly.

I had a similar problem several months ago and it turned out to be my ECU.

The car would crank and everything but would not start.
