1993 240sx hatch Door Striker Adjustment

I'm trying to adjust my door, but the two philips screw that hold the striker won;t budge. THe scew looks kinda weird cause it has these silver circles all around the side of the philips screw. I removed some the plastic covers in the car, and saw the other end of the screw, but there isn't enough room for me to use vice grips on the back side.

The head looks pretty bad now from my atempts to get them off. Its not completely rounded off yet. I might go down to sears and get an impact screwdriver, but i'm not even sure if this will work. I'm really trying to avoid drilling it off.

impact screwdrivers are great for that sort of thing. drilling is not fun. wish there was a better answer for ya bud. try the impact.
