1993 240sx crank dies right after

So ive got a 93 240 convertiable stock KA after driving around for a while in this summer heat turning off the car going and trying to start it will run like complete garbage for a bit then stall out go to crank again and it wont stay running it might start then die immedatly afterwards even after given throttle but after a while when started up it will randomly decide run perfectly fine again (new maf) Im very confused.

Do you have an aftermarket intake? You may have an air leak after the MAF letting in unmetered air. The car freaks out and dies if that's happening.
