Trying to fix timing chain rattle, but I can't crank the pulley. In the beginning i turned it counter clockwise a little, then i realized it was suppose to be clockwise after looking at the guide real quick. So i went the other way. It was cranking easily, then i got alot of resistance. Now when I crank the pulley, I have to use alot of force. Then i reach some point that it won't turn at all, and if i let go it goes back to the same position i started with. Its like a spring or something.
edit:
Hey would it matter, if the car was still in gear when i did this? I remember i had the shifter in reverse when i was atempting to put the engine in TDC. I can't test out my idea right now, cause I left my car at a friends house.
