I have a damaged 1996 Q45 hood , and i found a 1993 q45 of the same color at a junk yard. to me the car is almost the same as 96' even the interior but the door sticker says 3/93 . So i was just wondering can the hood of that 93 model fit on my 96 one.Any help would be great.

You need a 1994-1996 part.

I hardly saw any difference anywhere, but the junkyard guy kept saying it was 1993 model(as per the door sticker). I am thinking of asking him for the VIN number now and see what the 10th digit says.

The '93 model run was short, but 3/93 is surely a grille-less Q.

hmm...Paul,that car was no where near this white 1993 infinity in the picture that you posted...

So this only means that, the junkyard guy is wrong in saying that it was a 1993 model. Now help me here, the date on the door sticker .. how accurate is it in determining the model? i mean, i was wondering... if the sticker says '93...doesnt that mean that it was a 1994 model.? because cars are made a year back right?...

And if the sticker said manufactured date is 93...then it is a 94 model..right? ...so if i am thinking correctly...it makes sense to me now...because the one that you showed in the second picture is the car that i have(1996 model)... and you said it is a 94-96 shape... then i guess it makes sense in looking same to me as it was 1994 model and it is same as '96. Am I making any sense..?? ...or is my brain going in over drive???

1993 was the first year of 1994 MT construction. If it has a grille, it will fit.
