I have '94 schematics but I don't know if it'll be close enough. What is the "sub cas" anyway? Never heard of that.

The crank angle sensor has 2 separate ouputs: the 90 degree pulse used for cranking and emergency back up in case the 360 main output [a pulse every single degree of the 360 revolution of the exhaust cam] fails.

1 degree accuracy necessary if you are to have 0.5 degree accuracy of the entire 720 degree revolution required of a V8.

The '94 and '91/'92 schematic is the same.

If for some reason the main crank angle sensor dies, the sub crank angle sensor is still operational... Its a seperate plug for essentially the same sensor, except it only gives the 90* pulses.....

Basically you dont have to have the other one hooked up. Its a fail-safe part so that if the main cas goes bad (they hardly ever do), granny could still drive her Q to the dealer to get fixed... If the main CAS is working properly, the other connector is not even being used.

on the later VH45s (94+) they had a single (7 pin) plug... The cas no longer says NISSAN on it, rather hitachi if memory serves... It has the roundish connector..
