I own a 1992 Q45t and cannot find any information about the touring model for this year. Apparently the touring models weren't widely manufactured until 1997 but a small number were made annually before this. How rare is my car if at all? Is maintenance different than the normal Q45?

I've owned two 90-93 T models. Not really rare, but harder to find than the standard model.

I always used the service manual that came with the cars, they covered the service and maintenance of the T suspension.

Main difference is the HICAS rear suspension.

I've been looking for another lower mileage T model but can't find one. Its not rare but it certainly ain't easy either.

The touring models have a 4-wheel steering system and a rear sway bar for extra control.

But not as stiff as the a model rear anti-sway bar.

Since A system was limited in body leveling above 0.5 G and A Springs [88 lb/in] were 29% softer in rear, after the ACTIVE SYSTEM gave up the T Car was actually 5% stiffer in rear roll above 0.5 G.

Important to view suspension as a total system and test at 1" > 3" as the lateral acceleration goes to tire limit [based on weight].

All about Springs vs sway bar stiffness TOTAL.

I just bought a 94t. I'd rather do without the added cost/complexity of the HICAS.

Never seen a T system fail if PS was changed at a reasonanle interval......the rear rack bushings fail just like the front, all in all not much annual cost to budget for, maybe $50-100 added to $2500 standard prorate for a standard 1994.

You just bought the last model of the last year on which HICAS was standard.

Don't sweat it, just change all fluids and filters now, along with all bad rubber.

Do you know how to run 92 Q45a suspension diagnostics or a site where I can find how to do it? I do not have a manual for my car. Thanks

Download and read the 1994 manual. Most of it applies.
