My factory (dealer-installed) Sony 10-stack was working like a champ before my battery went dead and my "buddy" crossed the cables when we jump started my Q45. I replaced the 3-amp fuse on the back of the radio and now everything works fine except the 10-stack. I've got power back to the 10-stack in the trunk but cannot get it to work via the controls in the center console. Any ideas out there before I resort to taking it to a Sony repair shop and having them tear in to it.

Thanks.

:thinker it sounds like that you have a RF cd changer in the trunk... if that is correct then you might have to reset the proper station on your radio so that you can get the radio frequency feed from your changer. when your radio loses power, the preset stations are usually lost. I bet that is what happened. if you have the correct station on your radio and still nothing, you might want to make sure that you connected the antenna in the back of the radio along with the RF box that comes from your cd changer. usually the radio will not come out of the dash without unplugging the radio antenna and since you had to remove the deck to change the fuse, this could also be a probable cause. give me some feedback and we can go from there

My CD player is the factory 10-stack so it doesn't go through the FM gig like the aftermarkets. I'm afraid I burned something out when it got jump-started but I was hoping somebody out there might know of a fuse that I missed for that factory 10-stack versus the one on the back of the radio that I already replaced. The radio and cassette work fine.
