1992 Pathfinder motor swap

Hey all. I have a friend that has a 92 Pathfinder and is looking for some more power. What would be a good and easy engine to put in there? He was telling me he wants to do an SR20 like mine but I dont think it would be a easy fit. His car right now is a auto V6 one so i dont think the motor mounts will bolt it. I was thinking that he can go with a VG30DETT or I've been seeing that the SC'd Xterra motor is good too. Has anyone on here or anywhere at all done the swap and can tell me whats is the best way to go? I did a search but couldnt find anything anyone has done. Thanks again
