Hey, Everybody,
I am new to the group, but look forward to receiving your help.
A year ago, I took my daughter's 1992 Nissan 2000 (T-top) to get a Virginia state inspection at a Nissan dealership. It did not pass inspection and there are multiple problems, I was told, and they couldn't find the parts. Does anyone know of a reputable shop in the Arlington, Virginia, area, or close vicinity, including the District of Columbia, where I might have the car, which I love driving, repaired?
Thank you.

What types of issues is it having? That'll help us know if it's something a regular shop can tackle or if it will be more serious

Yeah, knowing why it didn't pass inspection is the information we would need.

A good deal of the parts from the NX are the same or similar to a Sentra SE-R of the same manufacturing years, so I think I understand why parts are a problem. They didn't make too many of those and they have all sort of rusted to hell by now... Especially the NX. They usually fail inspection because of rust near the rear strut towers, if I remember correctly.

You'd have better luck with a local shop than taking a 30 year old car to Nissan and expecting them to find parts. The dealer will only use official Nissan parts, and you just aren't going to find them for a car that old without looking at third-party manufacturers.
