Hey guys, im currently about to make a DIY with pictures for everyone so we dont have to always tell people to search for the common grounding kit questions, plus we wont have to spend over $100 for something you could do for like $30.

Alright, so the questions are, I know where like 3 of the grounding points for the engine are, so could someone help me out with finding all of them, and also what should i do about that one thats coming from the same wire loom as the fuel injectors, and attachs to the block? Also what gauge wire do you think would be the best for the ground wires. I basically know that im gonna use gold connectors, and im gonna sand the chassis where the connect to bare metal. So help me determine these few things, and i'll have a whole write up and guide to making your own grounding kit...

On the KA24DE by the way...

Thanks in advanced.

it doesn't take much to install grounding kit much like installing a strut bar

you can get a grounding kit for 15$ on ebay or spend a little more and make them yourself for the same exact ****.

think about this, ebay proabably use 10 or even 12ga cables. Even if you used 8 or 6ga, it's about the same since, it's just ground. Don't believe me? use a 6a gable and a 12a gable to secure the same ground and do a comparison by checking the continuity, the difference is probably in the one hundredth. Cramping a few cables together isn't DIY also.

Lastly, asking for good grounding point is pointless because every car, despite the same year and model will have "weakened" ground at different area. There is no exact location. You hvae to find the weak spot on your car with a multimeter.

I and many will appreciate the effort but I'm afraid it will be a waste of time for the said reasons.

I don't know where the common ground points are (which are , of course, the same on a particular make/model) but I look forward to you write up and thanks in advance for the effort.

you have to ask yourself then, what needs to be grounded in the engine?

alternator, distributor, injectors, engine to chassis, transmission to chasis, battery to chassis... etc

explore with a multimeter

please check 240sx.org's faq pertaining to checking ground if you are confusedhttp://www.240sx.org/faq/artic...d.htm
