1992 n/a 300zx erratic idle, exhaust smells horrible =[

hey guys, new z owner here. 92 n/a, 4x,xxx miles on it. it doesnt want to idle right, i have been told it could be the iacv, but everything inside seems to be working correctly when i took it apart. the tps is set correctly, and the exhaust smells really weird. not like gas, or sulfur, but more of a gunpowder, firework type of smell when its idleing, and especially when you get on it hard. its only getting about 13 miles to the gallon too. any help at all is greatly appreciated. thanks in advanced

Could very much be injectors are sticking, that would give all the symptoms. If you are good with tools and a multi meter, I would test the injectors and definitely pull the spark plugs and see what they look like.

i really hope its not the injectors because i have already replaced the full set of injectors twice....

What kind of injectors? Were they used, new, oem, aftermarket?

Hows the fuel pressure, when you replaced the injectors, are you sure the o-ring didn't get pinched? How do your spark plugs look?

Have you checked for ECU codes? Do a power balance test to make sure it's running on all cylinders. Perform an o2 sensor diagnostic via the ecu.
