1992 KA24DE head fit a 1997 KA24DE?

My friend has his 1992 KA24DE engine in his garage just hanging collecting dust. I was wondering if that head would fit my car? Would make it alot easier for me to do head work. I could take his head off that engine ,port/polish it and then switch it out with mine. Will that work?

i think the heads are a little different with the adaption of the obd II system, but i would search to find out fo sho on the subject

Valve cover has different bolt locations.

i was uner the impression that a de head was all the same. makes me wonder if the head i'm working on now will fit whats on the car....

theres 2 valve cover bolts that dont match up but the threads on the s14 are thicker. you can mix match bolts and valve cover/front cover. i know this sincei justd put a 95 head on a 94
