Hello everyone,

Im brand new here, found it after looking for technical help with my car. This Place is awesome with lots of helpful articles and tutorials!

I had to order a Temperature Control unit from the United States (I'm in Canada) and it shows the temperature in Fahrenheit. Is there a special button combo i have to push in order to change it to Celsius?

Thanks!
Steve

:welcome: to NICO Steve!

I have done a good bit of research on this - and repaired some of the climate controllers - and there does not appear to be a way to switch them. I've been told that a component on the board has to be soldered to a different point to the circuit board - but I've never had a Celcius based controller to play with.

If by chance you have your old controller that displayed in Celcius and want to ship it to me I would be happy to see if I can figure it out.

Well if i has to do with soldering then im good, it's not that bad to use Fahrenheit.
My screen with the Celsius is broken, well turns on at -40 celsius but after about a minute of warmup time it cuts out, have no idea what happened to it.

From what you're describing with the metric climate control, it's probably a loose electrical connection, likely a bad solder joint. Back when I lived in Saskatchewan, I had a Nissan Pulsar with a similar problem: The dash lights would cut out in weather below -20 if you turned the headlight switch too far in the "On" position.

I got your message in the other thread... I don't know of any Q owners on these boards from Alberta. Us Canucks are kind of few and far between.
