1992 HB problem starting.. HELP :(

So I have a 1992 Fastback 240sx. It runs and is in great condition! only thing is that sometimes it wont start or even turn over at all.. I cant drive it so it hadn't been started for 1-2 weeks.. but then if i press the button to pop up the headlights it usually starts the very next try if not the try after? Could it just be coincidence? I don't drive it often because i have no muffler, taillight or plates.. but it seems to always start after i pop the headlights up? any suggestions?
