Hello. I recently bought a 1992 g20 that had a broken key in the ignition cylinder. I replaced the cylinder and got a new ignition key. No door keys. Locked myself out of the car, opened the lock through the back passenger window. Alarms went off etc. I pulled the auxiliary horn and the hazard fuse so I could drive it home with just the headlights flashing. Infiniti has no door lock cylinders on the continent I have to wait 3-4 weeks until they can get one from Japan.
I need to drive my car for work and I really don`t want to attempt pulling the door card off, as I know I will snap a bunch of pins, and probably deem the thing irreplaceable with my clumsy hands. Is there any way to just pull the damn antitheft system out of the car entirely so that I can just resume driving it with unlocked doors for the time being, and not ruin the interior and it's resale value?
Thanks in advance,
-Chris
