If anyone has any other input, it's greatly appreciated, but from my own diagnosis it's a rod knock.

Bought her two weeks ago in non running condition. Replaced some fuses and charged the battery and that got her to crank but wouldn't turn over and had the chain rattle. Took off the guides replaced the spark plugs wires and readjusted the distributor and she had no issues when I started her up this morning. Reinstalled a drivers seat to go on a quick ride and as I drove by the front of the house to wave at the family she started to knock. Pretty much screwed I'm reading as I research but trying to find anything to do to try. Don't want to buy another engine (broke college kid) and dreading a complete rebuild as i have very little knowledge.

(Another broke college kid here) I just bought a 90' s13 hatch last week and it just started making the exact same noise... Not really sure where to go from here. I was hoping it would hold out as my daily driver for awhile as I cannot afford to do the SR20 swap right now(or anytime soon).
