Hello Fellow Nissan Owners - I have a 1992 Nissan Maxima SE that won't start with no cranking. I have control over the accessories but that's it. I'm suspecting the "Anti - Theft" circuit, because for a long time if I needed to enter the vehicle the "Anti-Theft" would activate. To bypass this I would leave the passenger door behind the driver unlocked and to enter the vehicle I would open the passenger door and then unlock the drivers door without the alarm being activated. Well it seems this proceedure wore out because one day I accidently opened the drivers door and low and behold the alarm did not activate. And a few days later I entered the vehicle and it wouldn't start. I was instructed through another Forum to: "nsert the key and turn it to Accesories, close the door and lock it, then unlock the doors unlocking it twice" I did this and the vehicle started up. :dblthumb: Sadly I tried starting the vehicle again and it didn't start. :gotme Is there any hope for this vehicle? I've owned this Vehicle since 2003 without any major problems. I apologize for the long dialogue, but can anyone help me out with this problem? :werd:

The anti-theft on those old Maxes was a pretty complicated beast, but the manuals had a pretty comprehensive checkdown to figure out what was wrong. The FSM's before '94 aren't available except in hardcopy, but I don't think your '92 will be markedly different from '94. There is a manual for those:
