I have a 1992 automatic 240sx that I use for a dailydriver, it was running good until I took off the distributor to use on another car to test it out and when I put it back on and tried to start it, it just cranks but wont turnover.

We checked spark on all cylinders and its good, we sprayed carb cleaner in the throttle body and it still wouldnt turnover. The only way we could get it to start was to spray nitrous oxide into the throttle body. It just so happened we had a nitrous kit with a full bottle laying around so we figured we try it and it worked, but as soon as we stopped spraying the nitrous in the thottle body the car would cut back off. I have no idea what else could be wrong with the car. Anyone have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it. I need this car to DD and dont have the money to be putting into it so I hope its something simple Im just overlooking. Please help, thanksNick

reset your engine to tdc and reinstall the distributor.

yea the only thing i could think of u messing up with removing and reinstalling the distributor would be the timing. Perhaps the distrib is 180 off? i believe it only takes a few notches to be off for the car to not start.

Like 180 fan said if u set your #1 to top dead center and reinstall the distrib making sure its installed the right way u shouldnt have a problem. Post the outcome.

Sorry if this is no help to u but thats all i could think of.
