So i just bought my 1992 240sx se it has a ka24de motor in it. It is also a 5 speed. FOr some reason it wont go over 5,000rpm maybe just a lil bit over and thats about it then it like the rev limiter is kicking it. It is all stock only has intake on it. No check engine lights or anything. The ecu has not been messed with its all stock. Anyone have this problem before ? it should be going well over 5,000 rpm. any info would be of great help

Thank you

Dave

does it seem like it is acting wierd before 5K rpm? Possible that your fuel is cutting out due to a bad fuel pump, or injectors, or filter?

If its not fuel then you got me stumped. Does it struggle to get above 5K then you have to slow down, or does it just stop straight up?

Hopefully a tech guy will see this, i usually post stuff like this in the 240sx forum because it gets more hits then the tech section, and they know what they are doing most of the time...
