I recnetly bought a 1992 NIssan 240sx with a sr20det motorswap in it. I took it to a shop to have it looked over and have a few things done to it. A few days after I got it back, the car would not start. I had the battery checked and was told the battery is fine. I then jacked the car up and smashed on the starter with a hammer and it still wouldnt start. Any ideas? I looked at the little red connectors on the positiveside power canle and they both appear to be a little grungy. Could this be it? Could it be a fuse? When I turn the key I hear one very faint click, which I believe is the relay switch that is making the click. Any ideas? Where to look? Fuses? Where to look? ETC.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please IM me or send and email to [email protected]

I'm not mechanic, but it sounds like the starter is frozen. It may need to be replaced. Another thing to check is the battery. If you have a multi-meter check to see that it's putting out 12v.

I had the same problem with mine and tried the hammer trick, turns out that trick doesnt work on these starters. New one did it for me
