Hey guys, well i adjusted my idle last night, and since then, it seems that my car is slower. Like in 2nd gear, i have to drive the car to 4500 RPM's to go 40mph. And i know that it pulled better a few days ago, before i adjusted the idle. Can someone help me out... It's got all of the usual suspects of these 2 problems, i changed the plugs, wires, cleaned the filter, no aiv, cleaned the TB, fuel filter. It's got me stumped, and i cant seem to get it back to how it was before, even if i mess around with the idle.

Making an idle adjustment will not affect how the car accelerates since you are opening the throttle plate. Can you get the car to go any faster? perhaps you have a bad maf. get a volt meter out and see if you have the correct voltage on the maf circuits. May also be a restricted exhuast if you cant get it up to freeway speed.

I can get the car to go faster, but it seems really sluggish. I also cleaned the throttle body, and also the MAF, i was thinking that it might be my IAVC. Now when i use my brakes, sometimes my idle goes down really low also. I've got a brand new exhaust also, so i doubt that is the problem. And actually, one of my lights on the 3rd brake light is out, would that maybe cause it?

you may have damaged the maf when cleaning. you also may have created a vac leak.

its definitely not your idle stuff.

I figured it out, When i recharged the filter and oiled it, and i guess the oil got on the MAF, cause today i sprayed some carb cleaner on the maf again, and reset the comp, by unplugging the battery, and bada bing, it's fixed. But now whenever i press the brakes, the idle sometimes goes to hell on me...
