i've got a 240SE, 5sp HB. and i've got 2 problems... and a issue.

1. clutch slipping. i've replaced the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. rebuilt the master cylinder and put in a new slave cylinder. it's been a couple weeks since i put in the slave. it worked well for a week then it started slipping again. not nearly as bad as before though. the only thing i haven't replaced is the resevoir. does the cap HAVE to seal tight? would that cause my problem?

2. idle problems. sitting still, it's fine. @700RPM. but when i'm slowing down, with the clutch disengaged, it dogs really bad. sometimes dies. but once i get to a stop, it comes back up to 700 and runs fine. is it electrical or vacuum?

3. electrical. my blower (a/c thingy) works most of the time. most of the time it doesn't work when i first turn the car on, but it'll start up and work fine until i shut the car off and start up again. usually comes on after i hit a bump or something. i'm sure it's electrical, just not sure where to look for problems.

btw, this car is great although small for me. it's got 245000 miles and still runs strong. everything works great, even the cruise control. and it handles better than any car i've had.

as far as the clutch slipping it sounds like you still have some air trapped in the slave cylinder. nissan's like the 240 and maxima are extremely difficult to get all the air out of when bleeding them clutch system. i have found using a vacuum pump works the best, but it is time consuming.

as for the idle issue i would have the base idle speed checked because you probally jut have some cabon build up that its not able to compensate for. you may also want to check you erg valve is functioning correctly.
