1992 240SX Overheating

I have a 1992 240SX with an S14 Notchtop SR20DET Swap. It has a strange overheating issue that seems like it comes and goes, I flushed the radiator out and it didnt seem to help, i am thinking the next step would be the thermostat but I was wondering if some of you guys with more experience than me would have any other ideas? I didnt find much when I searched. Thanks!

go with your first insticts, check the thermo first. report back
