Hey guys,

So lately my car has been idling weird, it's a 1992 KA24DE with 312xxx KM's.

About 2 weeks ago, my car would idle around 900-1100 RPM's, and when ever I let go of the throttle, it would go up about 200-300 RPM's and slowly make its way back down. It happens in every RPM range, even during idle. If I press the gas, the RPM's go up, and if I press it a little bit more it will drop and then start going up again.

Then after it started idling at around 1500-2000 RPM's. It also took foreverrrr for the RPM's to drop when I had to shift gears, especially 2nd (Clutch is now on its way out). So I checked it out, turns out the cruise control cable was set soo damn tight, it made it idle at 1500-2000 all the time. After I fixed it, it idled at 700-800. Now it's starting to do the same thing again but this time it's around 950-1100. I rechecked my cables and there's a little bit of slack and the throttle is closed all the way when it's idling.

Also, when I'm driving and I disengage the clutch, the RPM's will dip down to 600-650 and slowly make its way back up again as I slow down.

Oh and the IACV is closed all the way...

So I just went out and checked my TPS, here are my results.

WOT: 1.82 ohms

Closed: 8.72 ohms

Is it just me or do they seem backwards?

It is supposed to be about 0.5 ohms closed throttle and about 4.0 ohms wide open.

I know this probably isn't the problem, but have you already tried to lube up your throttle cable and make sure its just not catching a little.

Haven't tried that yet.

What kind of lube? White lithium or something?

Oh and I tried to adjust the idle by using the IACV screw, I was able to get it to 1100. The RPM's were going up and down by 75-100 rpms, slowly.

Also, when it was idling right now, I squeezed the air regulator hose from the intake, the RPM's dropped very low, it was just about to die. But now it's idling perfectly...wtf?

Gonna check tomorrow morning when it's cold. I think its my air regulator.
