i have a 1992 240sx hatch that i need to remove the headliner. i did alot of research and didnt find any instructions. if anyone can hit me with a reference or with detailed instruction how to (possibly with pictures maybe?) thanks

Its fairly easy, having a buddy will help though.

I think you have to remove the A pillar trim and the trim behind the front seats. The trim that runs along the top of the hatch needs to come off(at the back of the roof). It pulls back towards the rear of the car if memory serves.

Remove the dome light(pop off the cover and unscrew it).

Use a trim tool or similar pry tool to remove the two plastic snaps along the front of the head liner. They can be a bit of a pain, just don't get too frustrated by them.

Remove the rear view mirror. I think it just pulls off then you kinda take the mount apart to put it back together.

Start pulling the headliner down. It works best from the back to the front, use a putty knife or something similar to work the edges out from under the auto seat belt tracking and it should fall on down.

Hopefully that helps, its fairly easy, you just have to remove the those plastic interior bits first.
