1992 240SX Electrical Problem

I just bought this car and nothing works. No tac, taillights, brakelights, turnsignals,sunroof. It works every once in a while for just a min then stops again. Any help? Car is a 1992 240SX 2.4L 5 SPEED.

do u still have headlights, i would loose everything but headlights, i had a short in the harness took 2 days to find when it was like 10 degrees out. that was ****ty

Does the car itself run? Sounds like you might have some loose grounds or some wires elsewhere in the harness are getting grounded out.

Yes the car does run. It was hit in the passanger firewall so it crimped/cut wires that go to the computer. I have a diagram of wires but not one of the computer plug itself. I hooked back up some of the wires but still nothing. Don't know about this thing already. Car runs strong but just have no brake, tail, park,interior, tach, speedo,sunroof. Nothing works execpt headlights. Headlights do not move by button but they turn on. Any help?

Okay I fixed something. The lights and stuff work but not until I rev it up really high first. The small alt. wire is off not sure where it goes. Car is running very erratic right now. Tach bounces. I am going to redo whole ECU wiring tommorw see maybe if that helps. I hope to get it soon. At least I know the stuff actually does work lol. Thanks for all your help guys. I am new to this kind of car. I checked autozone and advance and they do not have a book. Anyone know where I can get an actual book not just diagrams. Thanks.

Okay i redid all the wires. Now it won't start at all. Turns over but no fire. The gray 75amp fuse (clear top) is blown in half. Could this be the problem?

Okay guys. For anyone that is having electrical probs please check the GREY 75 AMP FUSE in the engine compartment. Mine was blown and I soldered back and all lights work now. But car still will not start I am checking fuel and vac lines and spark here in a few. I'll keep everyone posted on progress. Thanks for all the help guys. You guys are great!

Car is running again! WOW! New plugs do wonders for starting lol. But I am getting it together. Now she is blowing smoke out the tail pipes? Gonna check PCV valve. If that doesnt help gonna put the "No Smoke" to her.
