1992 240 SX Overdrive Automatic Transmission

I just bought a 240 SX that has sat idle for a year. We got the car to start and it runs ok. The issue we have come upon is that it will not shift into 3th gear. It will run in 3rd up to 3000 rpm and at that point, i eased off the throttle concerned I would nuke something

Any ideas what could be wrong or how to fix ?

Could this be an electrical problem

The transmission overdrive pushbutton dash lite does come on / off when pushed

sometimes they stick.... try reving to like 4-4.5 grand and see if it shifts... 3 grand really is not that high

Dancad,This problem is covered in great detail in an earlier post. If you use the search option you should be able to find the thread. The short response... start saving for the 5-speed conversion.. the autos haven't seen much love from us Vert guys.. good luck
