Need some advice on negative camber. My 91q45 (150k) has been gradually getting more and more inner tire wear in the front... I've replaced the upper links, tension rods, stabilizer bar bushings, and rack bushings. Tie rod ends look ok. Shocks were done about 50 k ago.

Correct me if I'm wrong but past posts point to third link and upper king pin bushings as most likely cause of negative camber? What about lower cntrl arms or wheel bearings? Could bad shocks cause negative camber as well? What would you consider the most likely?

thks...

Some negative camber is built in... the early Q is probably one of the most harsh production vehicles ever made in terms of tire wear. How far out of spec. are you when you try to have the front end aligned?

I think 3/4n is preferred with a range of 1 and 1/2n-0. So yeah looks like some negative camber is built in. Last time I had it checked (20k ago) my toe in was in specs but camber was close to 3n. Tire wear is much more pronounced these days though, and I'm trying to weigh my options here.

When properly aligned and not destroyed by lowering springs, the Q is really not hard on tires at all- I checked my tread-depth today on all 4 tires, and currently all groves measure between 4-4.5/32 tread depth WITH 55,000 miles on the set of tires {Michelin Exaltos} Extrapolated tire life is 75,000 miles if I was to run down to legal limit of 2/32 depth.

Look at the bright side, it could be worse - I remember all those Triumph TR-6 negative camber issues. Yikes!
