1991 sentre idle surge

vehicle has a 1.6 liter twin cam 16 valve. the car has been sitting for a while. It was drove through some deep water and would not start. I had to replace the starter to get it to crank and after it started I noticed it was running a tad sluggish so I reached down and tryed to accellerate but it was acting like it had a rev limiter on it. Up till this point this vehicle always ran decent but it has 233,000 miles on it please help.

Is it missing at a certian rpm ? or through at whole rpm range ?

found problem after pulling codes from the computer. mass air flow sensor was the problem.
