1991 Se-r....wont run when there is moisture in air..help!!

So my 1991 ser runs fine in nice weather as soon as it rains or there is humidity it starts fine then when i go to hit the gas it stalls ...to start it i have to hold throttle open and it slowly begins to putt....then it takes about 20secs of puttering until i can get it up to 5000rpms....ive cleaned the maf...adjust the idle...anyone know what this can be im baffled...sometimes it smells rich

This just screams electrical. first I would check the grounds, especially the ones on the lower part of the engine. If that checks out, then check the connections especially the one going to the distributor. but also make sure you dont have cracks in the distributor cap even small ones.
