I was thinking about buying a 1991 Sentra SE-R. The engine has 140k on it so I was also going to swap the engine out. Will newer SE-R engines fit or do I have to stick with the stock engine? I was just wondering because if I could get more than 140hp (which is what I would get from the stock engine) from a swap I was going to do already then why not. Thanks.

you dont want anything but a SR or VQ motivated motor under the hood. QR's suck! lol. Common swaps are the aforementioned sr20det and what I have which is a SR20VE NEO VVL which is good for 190hp at the crank. Whatever you choose to do keep us updated man

You will hate your SE-R. Trust me. NO other car has more problems in the history of man.
