From your description, looks like you have a weak battery and/or corrosion on the terminals. So check the connections and make sure they are clean tight. The battery voltage must be >12.5VDC. If not. it's weak and you have to jump start the car. It's also possible that the weak battery was due to insufficient charge from the alternator. So with the engine running, check the alternator charging voltage to the battery. It must be >13.8VDC (spec is 14.1-14.7 VDC). Also, the charging voltage must be steady (not fluctuating). Once you've made the measurements, you will know which one to replace, alternator or battery. A typical battery in a Q lasts for 3-6 years, depending on usage and environment. My last OEM battery lasted for more than 7 years.
