I removed the under car cowling and there's an obvious leak in what appears to be the main hose from the power steering pump to the small hydraulic tubes that go to the wheels. There are high pressure fittings on each end. The end of the hose that connects to the chassis is leaking profusely at the fitting junction. This hose looks to be a foot or less in length. Can you tell me what this hose is so I can order it from Scottsdale? Is this a DIY project? If so, any tricks or tips? Does it need to be bled like a brake reservoir? How much power steering fluid will end up in my face or on the garage floor?

Pictures would help... it's also possible to find a local hydraulic shop that can replace the hose using the existing fittings.

Scottsdale will be able to email diagrams if you need them to identify the parts.

Mine with 144k is pissing PS fluid, the pump starts whining like mad if you dont top it off every day

HELP! lol, I looked under it and theres drips forming on the largest PS hose on the passenger side, and the largest PS hose on the drivers side - as well as there is no rubber gasket on the lid of my reservior and it spews like mad when you turn from lock to lock...

Heh, Id rather save and not have to replace the whole system - hopefully theres an easier fix!

Thanks,Spence

If you need a hose, check the CLassifieds under the Fabricators section.
