Interesting... might be a good parts car for someone who has one the same color if the water didn't get too high. Any idea how much water?

I put a 600$ bid on it. Went for 800$ WOW Estimated $10,000 repair. Given the current damage. An engine swap w/ fuel coolant and all fluid exchange it would probably be up and golden

Depends on the transmission condition, and how badly the electronics are fried. The ECU and TCU sit awefully low... if someone tried to turn it on they could have toasted a lot of stuff.

Just image having 96 percent of your expected life still ahead of you - after 22 years - only to get whacked by a flood...

What a pitty. I hope the new owner shows up here on our club. I would have bought that in a heart beat. I wonder if that a Hurricane Sandy damaged car from L.I.? As easy as it is to find replacement CUs in a junk yard as well as testing the circuits that puppy could be dried out and revived if it didn't set deep water for an extended period of time. Just take the motor down and replace the chain guides and injectors while you you have it open.

Ya, but most LI cars are trashed, I find people around those parts don't care for cars very long..no disrespect to any LI residents but nearly every Q I have seen with NY plates looked like it had been to hell and back.

It's amazing that there are still a few out there. The Infiniti dealer here got a snowbird's 94t trade-in with under 10k miles, they called me, but they wanted $8k for it. It was like 3k over book, so I passed. It was also black on black, not my favorite... Some guy bought it off the net site.
