Hello all, I got a question.
I am about to purchase a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder (Don't know if its SE or XE...) with a freshly rebuilt engine. The engine barely has 150 miles on it, but theres a bit of a problem with it: There's a hole in the block.
I have a friend at my school who recently totaled his 1998 Pathfinder, but the engine and transmission are still perfectly okay.
The '91 has the 3.0L V6 with the 5-speed manual transmission. I am almost positive that my friend's '98 has the 3.3L V6 with the 4-speed automatic transmission.
My question is simple: Is it possible to adapt the 5-speed transmission from the '91 to work with the 3.3L V6 from the '98? If not, would the 3.3L V6/4-speed combo drop into the stock mounts of the 3.0L V6/5-speed?
Thanks in advance.
