i was told my brake lights dont work.
i checked the fuse(s), all good.
i checked the bulbs, all good.
then i was told more than likely it must be a bad brake switch.
i went out and bought one but can NOT get the old one out.
there are two similar looking plugs or switches right next to each other, only one comes in direct contact with the brake pedal, so i began trying to remove this.
and broke it.
twice.
but i think i just broke the old switch part i'm replacing. how do i get up in there and remove the nuts holding it on?
i'm far from 'petite'. plus when i can look, i'm near-sighted so i have to wear reading glasses under there so i can see, clearly. plus hold a flashlight.
this is a royal pain and if anybody can lend a hand, i'd be much obliged.
thanx.
craig.

I found this in a search i did for you hope it helps!? The stop light switch is on the brake pedal assembly above the pedal.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Loosen switch locknut and remove switch.
Reverse procedure to install.

Besides they really didn't change much about the sentra except for the body.
