1991 Nissan Maxima Transmission Problem

At first the trans felt like it was slipping. The Slipping got worse. NOw the trans no longer slips, it doesn't change gears. It has an automatic transmission. It runs in to high rpm's before shifting. Sometimes it doesn't even shift.

IF someone can help me, please do.

I like this car and would like to get it running for as cheap as possible.
