1991 Nissan 240SX KA24DE (engine making a clacking sound when reving)

I have a 1991 Nissan 240SX with stock engine. The only problem i have with the car is that, its making a loud clacking sound when i am reving the car. Anyone have any idea where this problem is coming from?

is the sound coming from the front of the motor from under the valve cover?

if it sounds like a paint can rattle, timing chain guide, upper an dlower, you can take them off easily..search for threads about it..if not..umm, bent valve?

It could be bad lifters, or loose rocker arms. Or also it could be a knock in the bottom half of the matter.
