In the 1991 models, what were the series and what does each mean, exactly? (i.e. SE)

I'm not too sure....

i know LE is top of the line, loaded and usually have leather. SE is second highest.... most have everything but leather. I'm not sure if it's the same in the USA (im canadian)

Coupe:

STD and SE

Hatchback:

STD, LE, Limited, SE

STD comes with base options, however you have the option for getting anything you want.

LE comes with alloys and air conditioning, however you have the option for getting anything you want.

SE and Limited come with alloys and rear wiper blades, however you have the option for getting anything you want.

: )

Thats all the difference, there are base models with more options than the higher trims, so theres really no distinction, not really sure why Nissan did it the way they did, but oh well. : )

Well, that was about the most accurate answer I've gotten from any question I've ever asked... =/

Thanks!

Hehe, do you want a listing of the standard options? Oh yeah, and one thing I forgot was the sunroof, I don't think you can get a base model with a sunroof. : )

Just in case you do:

4 cyl 2.4 L Engine, 5-Speed Transmission, AM/FM Stereo Tape, Intermittent Wipers, Power Antenna, Power Brakes, Power Mirrors, Power Steering, Rear Window Defroster, Special Seats, Tilt Steering Wheel.

Well i guess i have a LE. I have alloys, HAD spoiler and front lip. But no leather and no power options. AS of last weekend I now have digital dash (HUD without the HUD) Oh yea I also had factory Am/FM/CD player. And damn auto.

Not really sure what I have- Power everything: steering, windows, mirrors, antenna. Intermittent wipers, tilt steering wheel, alloys, rear spoiler, front lip spoiler ,5 spd, cruise, but no sunroof, so i must have a highly optioned std model. right or wrong?btw its a 90 hatch

Since when do they say Nissan on the hatch? I thought they came with "shaved" emblems from the factory, and that you had to order special ones. : )

For 1990 wasnt there an XE for the coupe? I think mine says XE. I have power windows, locks, seatbelts, mirrors, cruise, AC, moonroof, HUD, no front lip, dont know about the wheels (it had different ones when i bought it). Would this be their top of the line or a well optioned base model?

for 89-90 XE Designates Coupe, SE designates Hatchback. : ) There was no top or bottom of the line. : )

I'm sorry to burst ur bubble guys but if u don't have leather than u probably have the SE or STD not LE and if u have everything this is including ABS, CC, PW, PS, PL, AM/FM/Tape player, tilt steering wheel, super hicas, sunroof, vlsd, spoiler, leather seats, and ect then u don't have everything... i'm speaking for the '91-'93 fastbacks.... if u have everything that i have listed except for the leather seat, then u more are likly to have a SE.... i have everything listed excpet vlsd, super hicas, and ASB and i have an LE...... someone told me that the LE are rare and hard to find?? dunno if it's true though........ But why don't u guys just check wut you guys have by looking at the hatch on the right side it usually would say SE, LE, or nothing (meaning STD)..... hope this can clear somethings up.....

My 92 is an LE. It has everything you listed except the Super Hicas. It's a Canadian model so I think it has VLSD but I haven't actually crawled underneath to look.
