1991 maxima headlight problem

I have a 1991 maxima and lately the drivers headlight will not always work. you turn the switch and sometimes both headlights will work and sometimes nothing or only the passenger side will come on. Have turned the lights on and got nothing and when you turn on the brights, only the passenger brights come on. As i say, it is intermittent and sometimes they work fine.

Any idea what the problem might be?

Sounds like there's probably something wrong with the wiring for the driver side headlight.

It might also be an issue with the switch.
